The Middle Georgia Chapter of AFCEA encourages the advancement of the communications and electronics field through its support of professional development and educational programs in the Middle Georgia region.  The MGC assists in the development of future scientists and engineers through the use of scholarships, grants, and its support of local science fairs, where MGC professionals serve as judges in the fairs and the chapter provides awards to the selected winners.

Scholarship and Education Programs for 2010

• Two High School Senior scholarships: $500 each
• Area Coalition for Excellence - Education (ACE-E): $1,000
• One Undergraduate student scholarship: $500
• One Graduate student scholarship: $500
• One ROTC student scholarship: $500
• One Russell Elementary School Future Scientists & Engineers of America grant for $1,000
• 13 Middle and High School Science Fair Awards totaling $650
